Golf Shoes: What You Need To Know

There've been a lot of changes in golf shoes over the decades.  There was a time back before the 1950s when golf shoes were so similar in make and design that only the manufacturers themselves could tell the difference.  Today golfers face many more choices with regard to price ranges and styles that will suit almost every budget.  Unfortunately this means that many cheaper manufacturers of shoes have jumped into this market.  However, there are many reputable manufacturers offering golf shoes such as the Foot Joy, Adidas and Nike.

A previously unheard of style, the goal sandal, has recently become quite popular.  This type of golf shoe is surprisingly comfortable as well as durable, and obviously are the most casual of any of the call shoes.  Call sandals borrow much of their design from hiking sandals with the addition of sauce spikes on the soles.  This type of shoe will cost you anywhere from $40 to $90.

As you can see, the range of styles, formality and price have broadened since the 1950s.  While some members of the old school of golden style may be dismayed at this, the vast majority of people find this to be very refreshing.  So before you select your golf shoes take into account in the level of formality you will need to win on the golf course in addition to considering your budget.  No doubt and you will find something that will fit both your style and your pocketbook.
