Using the A4OS Adams Hybrid Golf Club

I usually don't do product reviews since I prefer to write what will help the most people. But I decided to share my experience with  Adams hybrid golf clubs since they has worked so well for me.

Let us start with the head. Adams has found a way to make the ball jump off the face of the club. I suspect this is a result of the high MOI (moment of inertia) for their clubs. Because of the material and construction of the club face it has one of the highest, if not the highest MOI of any hybrid club on the market.

Like most of the clubs of this type, the Adams hybrid golf clubs have a very low center of gravity that really gets under the ball on contact to achieve the loft that hybrids golf clubs are famous for.  The heel and toe weighting of the sole is also suppose to play a role in creating greater loft.

I find that the ball goes straight, high and long when I use these clubs. I am an Average Joe golfer. So I can only give you the end results of these features without a lot of insight into how they improve my game.  This reinforces that idea that Adams Golf creates clubs to help out the average player, such as myself.

Like with all the best hybrid golf clubs you set up like you would with your iron. But unlike the iron, you quickly learn that you do not need to over swing in order to get the distance you are looking for. You just swing your best swing and let the club do the work.

Yet another way my A4 hybrid golf club set has helped me out is by curing my slice overnight. This club has a mild draw bias designed in. Some companies go overboard on they hybrid clubs with their draw bias.  You may have a worse slice than mine with the long irons, but for me the A4 gets it right.

Mine came with the Matrix graphite shaft, regular flex. I don't really know if I could have benefited from a different shaft type. Perhaps I may regret the decision to forgo the firmer shaft at some point in the future, but for now I am completely satisfied with what I have. I suspect this may become more of an issue as my swing speed increases and the resulting increase in shaft flexing starts to show up in my shot accuracy.
