More women are taking up golf these days, which to my mind is a blessing since the sport has long been in need of new ideas for trendy golf clothing. You see, guys just don't always pay enough attention to fashion like women do. And I have seen more that my share of what has passed as "proper golf attire" in the past. Yes, polo shirts in retina-scorching colors can be lots of fun, but I think we can do better now. Thankfully, women's golf clothing has shown the way forward to more appealing golf attire.

Skorts combine both fashion and function and really look great out on the green. In short (no pun intended) skorts are shorts that look like a skirt. Capri Pants are a welcome addition to women's golf clothing. They have the advantage of looking professional on the course while adding a bit of flare to the green. They are very versatile, because they can be worn with just about any top. Additionally they allow you to move freely while allowing good air circulation, a welcome characteristic during the dog-days of summer, and anything that makes you more comfortable and allows you to move more freely is a plus for your game.

The Reversible Vest

Vests can be a fashionable and practical addition to your golf clothing because they can help you stay warm when the wind picks up without hindering your movement like a jacket would. Yet they still look very stylish while you are walking the course. What's more, a reversible vest doubles your options. The reverse side can be a different yet complementary color, a different texture of fabric, or a  completely different color pattern. In effect a reversible vests give you two vests in one, doubling your options. This cannot help but make packing for your golf vacation just a bit easier and more efficient.
